We are in the middle of a lesson on calculating taxes (see this video for a recap of the basic method of calculation, and/or check out the notes here). We’ll finish it up tomorrow with some more examples, but first we need some sample salaries!
Look up a typical yearly pay/salary for two to three jobs. The jobs could be anything, but try and make it practical (a job you could reasonably see yourself doing).
For each job, write the job on one side of an index card, and the typical yearly pay/salary on the other. Bring in those cards to class tomorrow, and we’ll work on calculating some more examples.
